Madeleine Martin

Madeleine Martin was born in Manhattan. She began developing her craft of acting at a young age, appearing in the Broadway National Tour of THE SOUND OF MUSIC at the age of seven. Two years later, she portrayed young Cosette in the Broadway National Tour of LES MISERABLES. At the age of 10, her passion for Broadway and undeniable talent gave her the opportunity to be the youngest presenter in history at the 2003 Tony Awards.

Martin trained at The School of American Ballet from 2001-2008 and danced in the New York City Ballet's performances of SCENES DE BALLET, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, SLEEPING BEAUTY, and THE NUTCRACKER.

In 2009 Madeleine was the recipient of the Marian Seldes' Most Promising Young Performer Award, and The National Youth Theater award in 2008 for her performance as Jean Fordham in the original Broadway Production of the Tony Award Winning AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY. She has also appeared alongside Jeff Goldblum and Billy Crudup in the original Broadway production of Martin McDonagh's THE PILLOWMAN. In January 2013, Martin starred in the Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway revival of PICNIC, opposite of Ellen Burstyn and Sebastian Stan. In 2012, she completed work with Griffin Dunne on Justin Schwartz's film THE DISCOVERS, a human comedy about a dysfunctional family. Martin can also be seen in the dark comedy, REFUGE, written and directed by Jessica Goldberg, also starring Brian Geraghty and Krysten Ritter.
