As a quarterback, Phil Simms played in two Super Bowls, guiding the New York Giants to titles in 1987 and 1991, and earning MVP honors in Super Bowl XXI (’87). As a broadcaster, the 15-year NFL veteran has called six Super Bowls and established himself as one of the most respected analysts in the industry. Simms has served as analyst on INSIDE THE NFL since 2008 when the legendary program debuted on SHOWTIME. This season, Simms leads an all-new team, including his long-time colleagues at CBS Sports Greg Gumbel and Boomer Esiason, plus newcomers to television Ed Reed of Baltimore Ravens fame and current Bears wide receiver Brandon Jacobs.
Simms joined CBS Sports in January 1998 as lead analyst for CBS Television Network's coverage of the NFL alongside play-by-play man Jim Nantz. The former All-Pro quarterback also called games for NBC, including two Super Bowls, prior to joining CBS.
