Dead Man

Jim Jarmusch's take on the Western genre is a deadpan, drop-dead-gorgeous tour through an offbeat Wild West following William Blake (Johnny Depp), an accountant from Ohio who is confused with the English poet by a Native American named Nobody (Gary Farmer). They link destinies as they try to stay one step ahead of the hired guns on their trail. Robby Muller's cinematography won critics awards and the film garnered Independent Spirit Award nominations for Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor (Farmer).
