Return To Paradise

Remake of the French film "Force Majeure" stars Vince Vaughn as Sheriff, a Manhattan limo driver who's shocked when he learns that an old acquaintance, Lewis (Joaquin Phoenix) has been rotting in a Malaysian prison for years on a drug possession charge. The only thing that can save Lewis from execution is the return of his "co-conspirators," meaning Sheriff and another pal, to serve jail time.
