After spending a third of her life on Death Row, convicted killer Cindy Liggett (Sharon Stone) doesn't much care when her case is assigned a new attorney, Rick Hayes (Rob Morrow). But Rick's devotion to her case and uncovering of new evidence soon makes a stay of execution seem possible - until his efforts catch the attention of powerful political figures.
