Teen math whiz Reggie (Dempsey Pappion) desperately wants to be a basketball star but lacks athletic talent. After his humiliating defeat in a street game, Reggie meets junkyard owner Zeke (Gregory Hines), who gives him a pair of magical red canvas high-tops once worn by a Negro League legend.
