Different For Girls
When ex-boarding school classmates Karl and Paul meet after 16 years, they recognize each other immediately, even though Karl is now Kim (Steven Mackintosh), a quiet blonde postoperative transsexual. They begin a hesitant, awkward relationship as Paul (Rupert Graves), a motorbike messenger with a taste for beer and punk rock, struggles with his attraction toward Kim and the implications it has for his own identity. Richard Spence's film won the Grand Prix des Ameriques at the 1996 Montreal World Film Festival.
