The Green Mile

This Best Picture Oscar(R) nominee is an adaptation of the serialized Stephen King novel. As a death row prison guard during the Great Depression, Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) thought he'd seen it all. After a series of supernatural events, however, even Paul becomes convinced that a simple-minded giant of a prisoner (Oscar nominee Michael Clarke Duncan) possesses healing powers, and is probably innocent of murder charges. Bonnie Hunt, James Cromwell, David Morse and Sam Rockwell costar.
