On Golden Pond

Nominated for ten Oscars, this powerful drama stars Henry Fonda in his final role as Norman Thayer, a retired 80-year-old college professor whose cranky, demanding nature endears him to his wife Ethel (Katharine Hepburn) but has estranged him from his only child, Chelsea (the actor's real-life daughter Jane Fonda). When Chelsea drops off her stepson Billy (Doug McKeon) for the summer, it's hate at first sight for the boy and Norman. However, they soon warm to each other - leading to a father-daughter rapprochement.
