Director Robert Altman's ("Gosford Park") comic portrait of a Dallas gynecologist nicknamed Dr. T (Richard Gere), whose career couldn't be better while his personal life falls apart. When his beloved wife (Farrah Fawcett) is hospitalized with a hopeless mental breakdown, Dr. T finds solace in the arms of a golf pro (Helen Hunt) while his cheerleader daughter (Kate Hudson) grapples with her own romantic problem: she's soon to be married but in love with another woman (Liv Tyler).
