Rare Birds

Sparsely populated Newfoundland might not have been the ideal location for Dave (William Hurt) to open a gourmet restaurant, so it's no surprise that "The Awk" is struggling. That's why his pal Phonse (Andy Jones) fakes a rare duck sighting that soon has bird watchers pouring into Dave's eatery for a bite while trying to spot the scarce fowl. He's so busy that Dave is even forced to hire on Phonse's sister-in-law Alice (Molly Parker) as a waitress - and romantic sparks are soon flying.
