This magical-realist slice of '50s Americana from twin brothers Mark and Michael Polish (Michael directs, Mark acts; both co-produce and write) conjures up the last days of a Montana town which is about to be submerged by a hydroelectric power project. James Woods and Peter Coyote play dark-suited government agents assigned to clear out the town's stragglers, which include the local priest (Nick Nolte) and an enigmatic orphan (Duel Farnes), who is consoled by a quartet of angels (Daryl Hannah, Anthony Edwards, Ben Foster and Robin Sachs).
