Against the Ropes

Meg Ryan stars in this sports drama as the only female promoter in boxing, who struggles to succeed in an aggressively male-dominated business. Her only hope is a talented but raw athlete (Omar Epps) who is better at fighting her than his opponents in the ring. Tony Shalhoub and Charles Dutton (who also directed) co-star in this film inspired by the life of Jackie Kallen.
