This satirical comedy stars Jena Malone as Mary, a good Christian girl at a Baptist high school who tries to help her boyfriend win his struggle with homosexuality by giving him her virginity. When he's shipped off to a program that promises to make him straight and Mary learns that she's pregnant, however, she is soon outcast and forced to befriend her school's band of misfits: the lone Jewish girl (Eva Amurri), a skateboarding rebel (Patrick Fugit) and a wheelchair-bound misanthrope (Macaulay Culkin). Mandy Moore and Martin Donovan co-star.
