Kings of the Evening

Recently paroled after two years in prison, ex-convict Homer Hobbs (Tyson Beckford) finds the country suffering at the height of the Great Depression, but meets a group of friends whose underground weekly contest briefly alleviates the crushing poverty and daily struggle for survival.
