Filth and Wisdom

A Ukrainian immigrant named A.K. dreams of rock and roll glory while paying his bills with late-night work as a cross-dressing dominatrix, while his two roommates harbor their own fantasies: one is a ballet dancer moonlighting as a stripper, while another is a pharmacist who would rather be ministering to the starving children of Africa. Eugene Hutz of the band Gogol Bordello stars with Holly Weston and Vicky McClure in this musical comedy-drama, the directing debut of pop star Madonna.
