On the eve of Israel's nationhood in 1947, a militant Jewish boy (Ido Port) is surprised to find himself befriending a good-natured British officer (Alfred Molina) who is serving with the region's much-maligned occupying forces. Theodore Bikel costars in this coming-of-age drama.
