The Beaver
When his toy company nears bankruptcy and his wife kicks him out of his house, CEO Walter Black (Mel Gibson) unsuccessfully attempts suicide. Hitting a psychological rock bottom, Walter adopts a discarded beaver hand puppet and begins communicating with the world through this alternate personality, an oddball tactic that allows him to slowly reconnect with his family and rebuild his broken spirit.
