Restitution

Posing as a writer, Alex Forrester (Mark Bierlein) arrives in a cozy lakeside Michigan community to investigate a series of bizarre murders that took place a year earlier, slayings that authorities pinned on a dead insurance investigator. Suspicious that the late snoop was nothing more than a patsy, Alex befriends a mysterious but amiable neighbor, as well as the chief suspect's beautiful girlfriend, and becomes a target for elimination himself when his probe uncovers painful secrets.
