After his expose on a government cover-up in Afghanistan is buried by his editors, a battlefield journalist (Nick Stahl) returns with his opium-fueled best friend in search of the truth. They embark on an perilous mission that includes gun fights, parties with soldiers and getting kidnapped - all on the way to discovering that the country is more dangerous than ever.
