Venturing out of traditional Hollywood, A7sle Films is set to debut their first comic book, PROTOCOL: ORPHANS, this month. The series, written by Michael Alan Nelson (DAY MEN, SUPERGIRL) and illustrated by Mariano Navarro (DESCENDANT) and distributed by Boom! Comics, is an action-packed espionage series with a compelling cast of young characters struggling with their transition into adulthood. They have also sold a YA novel, "After the Red Rain," to Little Brown Company, which Facinelli will write with Barry Lyga and Rob DeFranco. It is set in a future world of environmental collapse and mass poverty, where a mysterious boy named Rose discovers he possesses inhuman powers that can irrevocably change the lives of everyone on the planet.
