Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston

Documentary filmmaker Whitney Sudler-Smith tracks the life and career of iconic fashion designer Roy Halston Frowick, whose influential career began with his minimalist chic popularized by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, expanded with lines of every conceivable product from fragrances to home decor, then imploded during the 1980's era of excess. Featuring a who's who of talking heads including Liza Minnelli, Anjelica Huston and the director's mother, socialite Patricia Altschul.
