Heart of Stone

This documentary captures the true story of inner city principal Ron Stone, an audacious education leader who took over a failing Newark, New Jersey school and wrested away control of the institution from violent street gangs. Included is a look at the history of the local school system, which at one time was home to an equal number of African-American and Jewish families that lived side by side in an uneasy cultural balance.
