Executive Producer, Host

Paul Provenza was destined for a life in comedy. Since everyone laughed at him anyway, he figured he might as well make it look like it was his idea. By age 17, he was performing at New York's original Improv and while training with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and studying at the University of Pennsylvania, he continued doing stand-up. Provenza has now been a comedian for more than 30 years, leaving him with absolutely no other marketable skills whatsoever.

In 1983, Provenza made his first appearance on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JOHNNY CARSON. By the late 1980s, he appeared on every TV show with a desk and a host; opened for superstars in Las Vegas; and toured clubs, colleges and concerts across America. He wrote, co-produced, and hosted the ground-breaking Ace Award-nominated comedy/talk show COMICS ONLY for Comedy Central; and by 1991, launched a critically-acclaimed stand-up special INCREDIBLE MAN-BOY for SHOWTIME. He starred on the short-lived series THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS; hosted the Nickelodeon series KIDS' COURT; became television's foremost interpreter of "the star's boyfriend" (FACTS OF LIFE, EMPTY NEST), co-starred with Keanu Reeves in UNDER THE INFLUENCE for CBS; played a recurring role on THE WEST WING; co-starred in the SHOWTIME series BEGGARS AND CHOOSERS; guest starred on countless sitcoms and dramas; and played Fleischman's replacement in the final season of NORTHERN EXPOSURE, enraging the show's fans who still blame him personally for its demise.

Theater highlights include a Drama Desk Award for Best Actor for ONLY KIDDING; playing the title role in PICASSO at the Lapin Agile (NY and national tour); and directing NIGERIAN SPAM SCAM SCAM, and KUMAIL NANJIANI: UNPRONOUNCEABLE.

By 2000, Provenza made his mark on the international scene and spent the decade performing across the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. In 2005, he got away with directing THE ARISTOCRATS, the infamous behind-the-scenes comedy/documentary about one very dirty joke (co-produced with Penn Jillette). Against all odds, it broke records at Sundance and was released to critical acclaim and box office success. Go figure. Other film credits include festival favorite FIXING FRANK, and various indie films nobody has ever seen but are online somewhere between some cat videos and clips of people getting hit in the testicles.

In 2010, he co-authored the book ¡Satiristas!, a collection of Dan Dion's photographs and conversations with more than 75 comedians and social critics from The Smothers Brothers to George Carlin in his last taped interview. The book spawned ¡Satiristas LIVE!, a comedy collective creating new forms of comedy performance in association with Tim Robbins and The Actors Gang in L.A.

Provenza has consulted for the Just For Laughs festivals, curated comedy for Chicago's Lakeshore Theater, created the Free Speech Comedy series at Revolutions International Theater Festival in Albuquerque, and is a frequent panelist on NPR's "Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me."

Barbara Romen discovered her love of comedy at 8 years old when her mom let her stay up late to watch stand-ups like George Carlin, Bill Cosby and Woody Allen on THE TONIGHT SHOW. This insured that she was always tired at school and had no career potential – except in comedy.

After cutting her teeth as assistant talent booker at the legendary Comedy Store during the stand-up boom of the late '70s, Romen went on to represent comics and writers at the Writers and Artists Agency, followed by TV series development as VP of Comedy at Universal. Among the artists she fostered in television are iconic filmmakers Amy Heckerling, John Badham and Joel Schumacher; SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE characters "Jack Handy" and "Anne Beatts;" ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT co-executive producer Jim Vallely; cult favorite Ron Zimmerman; and comedians Andy Kaufman, Larry Miller and Howie Mandel.

Eventually, feeling hampered by "too much business, not enough show," Romen began to focus on her own creative side as a writer/producer at Visualize/Pacific Ocean Post where television projects included COMICS ONLY, THE A-LIST, COMIC JUSTICE, COMEDY PRODUCT, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2007, she and Paul Provenza joined forces to form Susquehanna Hats Productions.

Her live comedy productions span from the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and San Francisco Sketchfest to the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe, and include Bill Maher, The Smothers Brothers, THE SIMPSONS LIVE, Steve Martin, Jerry Lewis, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Reggie Watts, JOKE E-OKE, LATE NIGHT LOUNGE, and SET LIST, featuring Greg Proops.

She is currently producing ¡Satiristas! Live," a monthly experience in "immersive satire" at Tim Robbins Actors Gang Theater in Los Angeles, and the weekly show WAKING FROM THE AMERICAN DREAM WITH KELLY CARLIN on New Dissident Radio and KPFK.orgs

As Ray Barone on the long-running comedy hit EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, Ray Romano participated in one of the most respected sitcoms in television history. He won numerous awards, including the 2002 Emmy® for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and two additional Emmy® Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series as executive producer of the show. Along with the rest of the cast, he earned a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2003. He won the People's Choice Award as Favorite Male TV Performer in 2000, 2001, 2003, and 2005, while the show picked up the award for Favorite Television Comedy in 2005.

After winning a standup comedy competition sponsored by a major New York radio station, Romano continued to regularly perform at comedy clubs through out the country, leading to appearances on THE TONIGHT SHOW and LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN. The latter led to a development deal with Letterman's production company, Worldwide Pants, and the creation of the hit EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND.

Romano made his big screen debut as the voice of Manny the wooly mammoth in the hit animated film ICE AGE, which was followed up by two hit sequels. He also starred in EULOGY, WELCOME TO MOOSEPORT with Gene Hackman, GRILLED with Kevin James and Burt Reynolds, THE GRAND with Woody Harrelson, and 95 MILES TO GO, an autobiographical documentary about Romano's life on tour.

Romano is the author of The New York Times bestseller Everything and a Kite and the children's book Raymie, Dickie, and The Bean: Why I Love and Hate My Brothers, co-written with his brothers Bobby and Rich Romano. Doug Stanhope's confrontational style is an alcohol-fueled mix of the plainspoken and the caustic, mixing breezy common sense politics with bile-spewing rants; essentially the fang-bearing middle ground between Bill Cosby and Sam Kinison.

She performed over 300 concerts within two years. Arsenio Hall introduced her to late night audiences, Bob Hope put her on a prime time special and, seemingly overnight, Margaret Cho became a national celebrity.

Cho self released "Cho Dependent" on her own Clownery Records, and was very heartened by the acclaim as there were no women releasing comedy music albums. While thrilled that her hard work was rewarded with a Grammy nomination, she still has more music in her, an album tentatively titled "Yellow." Along with the two Grammy nods, Cho was the recipient of the Victory Fund's 2008 Leadership Award and the first-ever Best Comedy Performance Award at the 2007 Asian Excellence Awards. She also received the First Amendment Award from the ACLU of Southern California, and the Intrepid Award from the National Organization for Women (NOW). Throughout her career, she has been honored by GLAAD, American Women in Radio and Television, the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF), the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF), and PFLAG for making a significant difference in promoting equal rights for all, regardless of race, sexual orientation or gender identity. In June of 2011, Cho was honored by LA Pride, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognizes an individual whose lifetime body of work has left a lasting major imprint on the LGBT community.
