Bob Lowry
Creator, Executive Producer

Bob Lowry graduated with a major in acting and a minor in theatre from the University of Illinois. From there he joined the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and later went on to be a member of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. He moved to New York in the 1980s and appeared as a recurring character in the soap operas "As The World Turns" and "The Guiding Light," in addition to performing in various Off-Broadway productions and many regional theaters.

Clearly not achieving the Paul Newman status he hoped for, Lowry landed a job writing corporate communications for ANIFORMS, eventually becoming vice president of the company. Lowry worked primarily as a speechwriter for various Fortune 500 companies.

Always wanting to write for television, he sold his house, quit his job and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 43 with no work in sight. Five years later he landed his first writing job on NBC's law enforcement series "Profiler." After a three-year stint with "Profiler," Lowry moved on to become co-executive producer of Lifetime's critically acclaimed series "Any Day Now," which lasted four seasons and starred Annie Potts.

HUFF is Lowry's first project as creator and executive producer.

He was instrumental in establishing the show's unique style of cinematic storytelling, which earned him an Emmy® for best directing. Other awards, over the years, include an additional Emmy® for producing, a Golden Globe, three Humanitas Awards, a Peabody Award, Monitor Award, New York Film Festival's Gold Medal (for directing) and two Television Critics Association Awards as well as two additional Emmy and DGA nominations for best directing.

Scott has directed and produced several television pilots into series, including the critically acclaimed "My So Called Life," which earned him another Emmy® nomination. His other pilots include: "Cupid," "Sherman's March," Get Real," Significant Others," "Earth 2," "Georgetown," "The L Word," "Graham," and "Anna Says." He has also contributed as a director to the Emmy® award-winning dramas "The West Wing" and "The Shield."

He also directed the feature film "Til There Was You" starring Jeanne Tripplehorn, Dylan McDermott and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Most recently, under his own production banner, Scott developed and produced the critically acclaimed series "Carnivale" and directed the pilot movie for the successful Showtime series "Dead Like Me."

Since 1996, Scott's company Twilight Time Films has been prolific, having sold dozens for-TV projects to all the major networks and securing studio deals at Columbia/Tri-Star and Twentieth Century Fox.

Currently Scott is the Executive Producer and principle director for the critically acclaimed Showtime series "HUFF." And once again he has been nominated for an Emmy® for Best Directing.
