Cast Bios:

KRISTEN BELL ("Mary Lane")
A native of Detroit, Kristin Bell has been busy since graduating from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She currently stars as the lead on the critically-acclaimed UPN series Veronica Mars from Warner Bros/Joel Silver. She has also been seen as the con artist "Flora" in a recurring role on Deadwood. Bell's other television credits include The Shield, Everwood and American Dreams, as well as the Hallmark Channel film The King and Queen of Moonlight Bay with Tim Matheson, Sean Young and Ed Asner.

Bell is reprising the role of "Mary Lane" that she played in the Off-Broadway production of Reefer Madness. She also starred in the title role of the Gothic musical comedy Sneaux, and as &Susanna Walcott" in the Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's The Crucible starring Liam quot and Laura Linney. Other stage credits include playing "Becky" in the Broadway production of Tom Sawyer, along with roles in productions of Hair, The Wizard of Oz and The Miracle Worker.

Bell starred as the kidnapped daughter of the U.S. President opposite Val Kilmer in David Mamet's feature film Spartan for Franchise Pictures. She also starred in the films Pootie Tang and A Matter of Choice.


CHRISTIAN CAMPBELL ("Jimmy Harper")
Actor, director, singer, and producer Christian Campbell has added a daytime series role to his resume. Campbell recently joined the cast of the daytime drama All My Children, playing "Bobby Warner." Other television credits include Darren Starr's The $treet and the animated series Max Steel, for which he provided the voice of the title character. Campbell has also been seen in 7th Heaven, Aaron Spelling's Malibu Shores, and several movies-of-the-week including: Picture Perfect for ABC and City Boy for Fox. In his native Canada, Campbell is known for his work on the coming-of-age drama series, Degrassi High.

Campbell originated the role of "Jimmy Harper" in the Los Angeles version of Reefer Madness, winning the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Lead Performance, and reprised the same role in the Off-Broadway production. He also portrayed Rent's tragically fated writer, Jonathan Larson, in the national tour of the rock musical tick...tick...BOOM! His passion for live theater led Campbell to acquire the Lexington Theatre in Hollywood and form its resident theater company, Blue Sphere Alliance. Of the many original plays produced at the theatre, Campbell is most proud of Nagasaki Dust, in which he performed the lead role, and Reach, where he directed leading man Matthew Lillard.

Campbell recently starred in the film musical, Pretty Dead Girl, which had its debut at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. He is often recognized for his role as "Gabe" in the Fine Line Features hit comedy Trick, which also starred Tori Spelling and J.P. Pitoc. Other film credits include The Piano Man's Daughter, Thank You Good Night, Cold Hearts, Next Time, Family Conversation, and Too Smooth, which Campbell co-produced and acted in with his kid sister, Neve Campbell.


NEVE CAMPBELL ("Miss Poppy")
Neve Campbell first came to the attention of audiences when she was cast in the role of "Julia Salinger" on Fox's award-winning series Party of Five. She also starred opposite Jeremy Irons as author F. Scott Fitzgerald's secretary, Frances Kroll Ring, in the Showtime Original Picture Last Call.

A native of Canada, Campbell made her debut in the Toronto production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera. She went on to star in several television projects before landing the role on Party of Five. Her first feature film roles were in Andrew Fleming's The Craft and in the ensemble drama 54, opposite Ryan Phillipe, Salma Hayek and Mike Meyers.

Other film credits include the Scream trilogy, The Company for director Robert Altman (which Campbell also produced), Three to Tango, Drowning Mona, and the independent films Investigating Sex and Panic, opposite William H. Macy and Donald Sutherland. In 1998, she starred opposite Matthew Dillon, Denise Richards and Kevin Bacon in John McNaughton's erotic thriller Wild Things, and was recently seen in When Will I Be Loved for director James Toback. Campbell stars in the upcoming Churchill: The Hollywood Years, opposite Christian Slater, and just completed Relative Strangers opposite Danny Devito, Kathy Bates and Ron Livingston.


ALAN CUMMING ("The Lecturer" / "Goat Man" / "FDR")
Tony Award winner Alan Cumming has had an eclectic career that not only includes acting, but writing and directing for film and television. His unforgettable portrayal of the Emcee in the Broadway musical of Cabaret was one of the most celebrated performances of recent years. In addition to a Tony Award, his performance also won him the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Theater World and New York Press Awards. For the original London production, he received an Olivier Award nomination.

Cumming was born and raised in Scotland and trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. His first novel, Tommy's Tale, was published by Harpers Collins in America and Penguin in the UK. His television credits include TNT's remake of The Goodbye Girl, ABC's Annie and NBC's God, the Devil, and Bob. Cumming has also guest starred in episodes of Frasier, Third Rock from the Sun and Sex and the City.

His many feature film credits include the Spy Kids trilogy, X2: X-Men United, Nicholas Nickleby, Josie and the Pussycats, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, Emma, GoldenEye, Get Carter, Eyes Wide Shut and Julie Taymor's Titus.

Cumming also co-produced, co-wrote, co-directed and starred in the critically acclaimed film The Anniversary Party, with Jennifer Jason Leigh for Fine Line Features. He appeared opposite Reefer Madness co-star Neve Campbell in Investigating Sex, and will next be seen in New Line's sequel to The Mask, The Return of The Mask, starring opposite Jamie Kennedy.


ANA GASTEYER ("Mae Coleman")
Ana Gasteyer is best known for her incomparable work on Saturday Night Live. During her six-year stint, she created several popular SNL characters, including middle-school music teacher "Bobbie Moughan-Culp," NPR radio host "Margaret Jo," Lilith Fair poetess "Cinder Calhoun," and spot-on impressions of Martha Stewart, Celine Dion and Hillary Rodham Clinton. Other television credits include Frasier, Just Shoot Me, 3rd Rock from the Sun, NYPD Blue, Law & Order, Party of Five, Seinfeld (the 'Soup Nazi' episode), and I'm with Her. Gasteyer has also substituted as guest host on Live with Regis, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The View, and The Late Late Show.

Prior to joining SNL, Gasteyer honed her comedy skills at The Groundlings, the famed Los Angeles improv-sketch comedy group. She made her Broadway debut in The Rocky Horror Show, and other theatre credits include the off-Broadway hits The Vagina Monologues, the Manhattan Theatre Club's Kimberly Akimbo by celebrated playwright David Lindsay-Abaire and Paul Weitz's Roulette. In 2003, Gasteyer had a triumphant performance starring as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, and she recently premiered her one-woman act, Ana Gasteyer: Let It Rip! An Evening of Song, at Joe's Pub in New York and Cinegrill in Los Angeles. Most recently, Gasteyer appeared on stage in NYC Opera's Cinderella.

On screen, she was recently seen in Paramount's hit film Mean Girls opposite Lindsay Lohan. Gasteyer's previous feature credits include What Women Want, Woman on Top, Dick, and What's the Worst That Could Happen? opposite John Leguizamo and Martin Lawrence.


JOHN KASSIR ("Ralph Wiley" / "Uncle Sam")
John Kassir originated the role of "Ralph" in the Los Angeles version of Reefer Madness and reprised the same role in the Off-Broadway production. He also starred as "Shemp Howard" in the Mel Gibson-produced telefilm, The Three Stooges. A talented vocal performer, Kassir provided the voice of the "Crypt Keeper" for television's Tales from the Crypt and "Meeks" the raccoon in Disney's feature Pocahontas, as well as various voices for The Simpsons.

Kassir has performed stand-up as an opening act for music and comedy acts such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, Lou Rawls, Tom Jones, Bobby Vinton and Rodney Dangerfield. He has even shared the improv stage with Robin Williams. When a talent scout for the television show Star Search encouraged him to compete as a stand-up comedian, Kassir bested such top comics as Rosie O'Donnell and Sinbad to win the $100,000 grand prize.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Kassir earned a degree in theatre at Towson State University. He got his professional start in the Off-Broadway musical hit, 3 Guys Naked From the Waist Down, which garnered him both Drama Desk and Outer Circle Critic's Award nominations. Kassir lives in southern California with his wife, actress Julie Benz.


AMY SPANGER ("Sally DeBains" / "Statue of Liberty")
On Broadway, Amy Spanger originated the role of Bianca/Lois in the hit revival of Kiss Me Kate, appeared as Betty Schaeffer in Sunset Boulevard, Roxie Hart in Chicago and Hope in Urinetown: The Musical.

Off-Broadway, she created the role of Susan in Jonathan Larson's tick…tick…Boom! at the Jane St. Theatre. Spanger also played Maureen in the national tour of Rent and Roxie Hart in the national tour of Chicago. In addition, she performed in the original workshop of Fosse in Toronto.

Spanger's television credits include guest-starring roles on NBC's Ed and CBS's Becker, as well as the starring role on PBS's Egg the Art Show and the musical Traps.


ROBERT TORTI ("Jesus")
Robert Torti played the roles of "Jesus" and "Jack" in both the Los Angeles and New York productions of Reefer Madness. He earned a Tony Nomination for his Broadway debut as "Greaseball" in Starlight Express. Other Broadway credits include "Pharaoh" in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a role which he reprised in the film version opposite Donny Osmond. He also appeared in the London and Los Angeles productions of Smokey Joe's Cafe.

Torti has been a series regular on The Drew Carey Show, Vinny and Bobby, Generations and Family Passions. He has also made guest appearances on Any Day Now, Sabrina, V.I.P., Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place.

STEVEN WEBER ("Jack Stone" / "George Washington")
Steven Weber is currently appearing in the London production of National Anthems with Kevin Spacey at the Old Vic Theatre. He also recently starred on Broadway as "Leo Bloom" in Mel Brooks' smash hit musical The Producers. Weber made his New York theatre debut as a member of the Mirror Repertory Theatre opposite Geraldine Page in Clifford Odets' Paradise Lost, and made his Broadway debut in Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing.

Weber gained fame as quick-witted pilot "Brian Hackett" on the popular NBC comedy series Wings. He also played the lead character on the ABC drama The D.A. and was an eventual series regular on ABC's Once and Again. Weber made his writing debut with the critically acclaimed Showtime Original Picture Club Land. He also produced the film and starred with Alan Alda as the unsuccessful father-and-son talent agent team of Willie and Stuey Walters.

Weber's numerous film credits include Single White Female, At First Sight, Leaving Las Vegas, Jeffrey, and Mel Brooks' horror spoof Dracula: Dead and Loving It. In 1998 he was part of the ensemble cast of Arris Iliopuos' I Woke Up Early the Day I Died, a dialogue-free film written by the late Ed Wood. Weber also appeared in Mike Figgis' innovative Timecode, a collection of four separate stories shot in continuous time with hand-held cameras and run simultaneously in four equal sections on the screen.
