The Doors

Rated R • 140 minutes

The public and critical reaction in 1967 to the band's self-titled debut album, "The Doors," and their follow-up album, "Strange Days," later that year, is overwhelming. Lead singer Jim Morrison's sensual stage presence, charged with strength and energy, is capable of projecting a sense of danger, speaks to young audiences' fantasies and becomes a catalyst for an era. Follow the story of the rock band and its lead singer, from his days as a UCLA film student in Los Angeles, to his untimely death in Paris, France at age 27 in 1971.
