Aldis Hodge

Aldis Hodge is a SAG Award winning actor, who has built a dynamic career as a versatile performer in both film and television. 

Perhaps best known for his work on the series UNDERGROUND, Hodge can also be seen in the film WHAT MEN WANT, opposite Taraji P. Henson and Tracy Morgan; BRIAN BANKS, in a performance The Hollywood Reporter described as “beautifully subtle film acting, and audiences should be exposed to his fine work” and the independent film CLEMENCY, with Alfre Woodard. Hodge also appeared in the CBS All Access short STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS – CALYPSO, the series MEDAL OF HONOR and BLACK MIRROR.

In 2017, Hodge was seen in HIDDEN FIGURES, alongside Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe. In addition to winning a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Motion Picture, Hodge earned a National Board of Review Award and Palm Springs Film Festival Best Ensemble Award for his role in the film.

Hodge’s other film credits include the Edward Zwick film JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK with Tom Cruise, a starring role in STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON and THE EAST alongside Alexander Skarsgård and Patricia Clarkson. His other television roles include LEVERAGE, TURN, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, SUPERNATURAL, THE WALKING DEAD, GIRLFRIENDS, THE BLACKLIST, CITY OF ANGELS, BONES, CSI, ER, CHARMED and BOSTON PUBLIC.

Hodge began his career at the age of three when he booked a print job for Essence magazine with his brother Edwin Hodge. He continued to work as a model for print ads and commercials until he made the transition onto the screen when he and his brother were cast on SESAME STREET and later on stage when they joined Broadway’s Tony winning revival of SHOWBOAT. He also appeared in several movies, including DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE, BED OF ROSES, THE STONE HOUSE, EDMOND, THE LADYKILLERS and BIG MOMMA’S HOUSE.

Hodge was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina and raised in New York. In addition to acting, Hodge is developing projects for film and television, designs luxury timepieces and is an avid artist and painter.
