Cameron Monaghan is currently cast in starring roles for two upcoming book-to-film adaptations, ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD and ANTHEM OF A RELUCTANT PROPHET.
Monaghan's brilliant performance as the high profile proto-Joker Jerome Valeska on GOTHAM led to a Teen Choice 2016 nomination for Choice TV Villain. In 2015, Monaghan was also nominated for a Critics' Choice Award for his role as Ian Gallagher on SHAMELESS.
Monaghan makes a guest appearance on SON OF ZORN, a hybrid live action/animated show which is executive produced by Phil Lord & Chris Miller. Monaghan shined in a lead role as a wounded Confederate soldier in the Civil War drama MERCY STREET, a Ridley Scott-produced mini-series about volunteer nurses and their patients.
Over the past few years Monaghan has shot lead roles in back-to-back films for The Weinstein Company, including Phillip Noyce's THE GIVER, opposite Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges, and the 2017 release AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING, directed by Franck Khalfoun.
In addition to his studio films, Monaghan garnered excellent reviews and a lot of buzz at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival for his performance in JAMIE MARKS IS DEAD, which was a Sundance 2014 Official Selection in the dramatic competition. Monaghan also starred in the indie feature MALL, directed by Joe Hahn of Linkin Park. The band provided original music and scored the film.
