Richard Pryor stars as Kevin Lanahan, a con man framed for robbery. Trying to trick his way out of jail time, Lanahan pleads insanity. But the ruse is doubled when he’s taken to a hospital for review and is mistaken for a doctor. When a storm causes a massive power outage, Lanahan is then left to lead the hospital through the crisis.
