Lonely 10-year-old Max spends his days writing about imaginary superheroes Shark Boy and Lava Girl, wishing he lived in a non-existent dream-world known as Planet Drool. However, when his wildest creations suddenly come to life, he escapes his suburban town to save their planet and battle evil aliens and bullies.
