Down on his luck and homeless, budding novelist Lee Plenty is struggling to make ends meet both in his career and love life. That is, until Lee's old college friend, the wealthy Havilland Savage, invites him to her home to celebrate New Year's Eve. In a weekend filled with laughter, love and surprises, Lee finds himself surrounded by three gorgeous women: Havilland, whom he has privately loved for years, her uninhibited best friend and her affection-starved sister.
