Frat boy Brian decides to share his bachelor pad with two tenants, gourmet chef Sam and aspiring painter Ellen. Though they use the apartment on alternate days, Sam and Ellen fall in love through notes and food they romantically leave for one another. However, when Sam and Brian swap days without telling her, Ellen thinks Brian is her secret suitor—setting off a hilarious cascade of crossed signals and mistaken identities.
