Invasion of the Body Snatchers

The earth is invaded from outer space by living micro­organisms called "pods." Matthew Bennell, a health inspector in San Francisco, stands virtually alone against the terrible menace. Slowly the pods begin taking over human bodies, obliterating all traces of personality and individuality. One by one, Matthew watches as his friends succumb. The only defense is eternal, sleepless vigilance. But sometime, somewhere Matthew must sleep and he knows that the pods will be waiting to turn him into another member of the walking dead.
