Keir Gilchrist was born in London, England, lived in Boston and New York City before settling in Toronto, which he currently calls home. He has taken drama classes since he was very young and, at the encouragement of a Toronto drama teacher, he decided to act professionally. Prior to UNITED STATES OF TARA, Gilchrist starred in the FOX television series THE WINNER opposite Rob Corddry and has had many memorable guest appearances on shows including FAMILY GUY, QUEER AS FOLK, and THE LISTENER. Some of Gilchrist's film credits include the title role of Peck in the feature film JUST PECK opposite Marcia Cross as well as THE ROCKER, THE EGG FACTORY, and DEAD SILENCE. Gilchrist starred in the Focus Features film IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY, a coming-of-age story from writer-directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (HALF NELSON) opposite Zach Galifianakis, Emma Roberts, and Viola Davis.
