Cuba Gooding Jr. stars in this feel-good comedy as an ad exec who's down on his luck after losing his job and fleeing his creditors. His fortunes change when his late grandmother leaves him an estate worth $150,000 - but in order to claim it, he must direct her church gospel choir, and guide them to a national championship. Soon he's recruiting 'sinners,' including a trio of prisoners and a night club crooner (Beyonce Knowles), and the group is on its way to glory. Melba Moore costars.
